Migrant arrivals: 2015 version

It is the time of year when the migrants start coming up this way.  If they have heard about what passes for weather in this area recently they might decide to hold back a bit!  On the other hand phenomena such as climate change may suggest an imperative to move on early from wintering grounds so lets see!

This is an image of a spreadsheet with the start of the yellow highlight showing when we could expect the migrant species to arrive.  Grey Fantail, Fan-tailed Cuckoo and Tree Martin have already been seen, so they are in red for July.  If folk see or hear any of the unreported species an email to martinflab@gmail.com would be helpful.
The image above was based on results of our reports up to December 2013.  I have now redone the query and spreadsheet to include 2014 data.  The results are in the following image, but haven't caused me to change the shading: if anything they have reinforced the pattern with the first arrivals in that year conforming with expectations for nearly all species.  I have updated the image for reports and observations to 3 September.  Early sightings are in orange, MIAs in blue.
As we have 6 early sightings and 1 MIA the conclusion must be that this is an early year, despite the cold local conditions.
