Flycatchers and Similar species

Golden Whistler
Rufous Whistler

Grey Shrike-thrush
The bird has a mouthful of spiders to feed the chicks in the nest located in the milk crate!

Willie Wagtail

The white eyebrow is usually clearer.
Leaden Flycatcher
A female bird taken by Sophie Jensen.
 A male bird by me!

 Satin Flycatcher
Magpie-lark

This is a male bird: the female has a white "face".
This photo is included under the "spiffy image" rule>

Jacky Winter

Scarlet Robin

Both images are of males.  I couldn't resist adding the second (by Kim Mackenzie) proving that they do eat caterpillars.

Red-capped Robin

Flame Robin

Note how the red goes much further up the breast than with the Scarlet Robin.  The females and juveniles are relatively plain brown (and also eat caterpillars).

Hooded Robin

Eastern Yellow Robin
This second image shows a bird in a slightly more 'natural' environment.

Welcome Swallow
A naff image but possibly better than nothing!

Fairy Martin
Tree Martin
Image by Kim McKenzie.  Note lack of red on forehead and breat.
